The PixCut S1 uses a single thermal dye-sublimation ink cartridge that includes three colors plus a protective lamination layer. When it's empty, replace it as a whole unit rather than individual colors. Each cartridge supports up to 36 prints.

The Liene PixCut S1 currently works with iOS and Android phones and tablets. However, we have plans for further development to enable compatibility with PCs and laptops, and we've already included a USB-C connecting port on the device for this purpose.

The lifespan of the blade will depend on the complexity and frequency of cutting, and our blade should be good for around 800 sticker paper cutting. PixCut S1 is built for durability like a professional die cutting machine, so it should last through many projects before needing a replacement.

Yes, you can upload PNG or JPG files with a transparent background for direct cutting, making personalized sticker printing as straightforward as possible. For non-transparent backgrounds, use the AI Matting tool to remove it before cutting. You can make the area outside the cut line transparent, export it as a PNG, and upload it to our app for precise cutting along the desired line. Please note that our app currently only supports PNG and JPG formats. The PixCut S1 is designed to work primarily with 4x6 and 4x7-inch PET photo and sticker paper that is specifically optimized for high-quality printing and precise cutting using photo-grade thermal dye-sublimation technology. Like many color label printers, it relies on specialized media. As such, the compatible photo and sticker paper will be limited to Liene-brand products to ensure the best performance and results. Please note that sticker paper with transparent and metallic textures will be available around 6 months later.

This machine is an absolute blast. You can go from taking a picture, opening the app and designing a sticker, to placing the sticker on anything in literally minutes! I make stickers for everyone when they come over for any reason! The creativity with this machine is endless!
So, the printer is awesome. No doubt. However, the app..... I'm using it to design stickers from scratch. With that said, there are only 31 fonts. There needs to be a much better selection of fonts. There isn't even one that's similar to a Times New Roman, Georgia, or Sancreek. There is mostly cartoonish looking or script fonts. It seems that this was created geared more towards making children's stickers and pantry labels, while it actually has the potential to be far more than that.
I do wish that the 'elements', such as frames, could be altered. Such as changing the fill within the frame or altering the border's color.
As far as saving work goes, you are not able to name your files for some reason. Also, it'd be great to be able to go into a previously saved project, and save it under a new project name so that you can use previous work to make new projects instead of having to start from scratch each time. Working the app solely from the phone seems like it would be tedious, but they made the app highly intuitive so adjusting fonts and aligning everything properly is a breeze.
Overall, I love it. It's great. It makes awesome looking stickers. Yes, it isn't as adhesive as I'd like, but there are fixes to that. I'm sure that when they come out with their 'permanent adhesive' it'll fix that issue. I'm looking forward to them getting the kinks worked out with the app and adhesion. When they do, this'll be absolutely amazing.
I bought the printer (for the second time) because of the release of the enhanced paper. The printer is fantastic, app improvements are great and ease of use is awesome. The enhanced paper is better than the first version but still needs work as a “sticks and stays anywhere” solution.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the sticker paper. The reason for the reduced adhesive is that the current paper is designed to be removable — it’s meant to peel off easily without leaving residue on surfaces.

I myself, like others I have seen, really only have one issue with the printer: the sticker paper. I have done several tests on different textured objects, and some of the fresh off the press stickers I put on the smooth surfaces began to have the edges lift and peel off as soon as 6 min after I had put them on. Other than that, the printer quality is beautiful and it is incredibly user friendly to use. I love the printer itself.
I absolutely love the idea and concept. I wish the machine was a little larger. The images that it prints are amazing and I love the conscience of a built in cutter. It cuts great. The app functions well. The only thing I do not love is the sticker paper. I made 100 sheets of stickers but didn’t think to try them out I gave my kids a couple sheets to start playing with which they loved however the Stickers did no adhere flat to regular paper. I wanted these for people to purchase or to use as give away as at my shop. Also as stickers to add to my paper bags but the stickers just are not sticky enough. They stuck better to an enamel cup than regular paper. Otherwise absolutely love the thoughts and function just need better sticker paper
